Evensong at Wotton Church.

This small church, set amidst fields, with the North Downs in the background, is near Dorking in Surrey. The use of a telephoto lens enabled the sky to be excluded, and make the church stand out. It took a couple of visits to catch the sun out, and in the right place, this shot was taken at about 5.30 one evening. I used Kodak Technical Pan film which gave good results, but having to load & unload the camera in the dark is a bit of a handicap. I am going to try Ilford Pan which is a bit easier to handle, and a bit faster, but not a lot.

Pentax ME Super with Tamron 135mm lens set at f16, and an orange filter.

The original print on Ilford fibre warmtone paper was brought to life with Ilford multigrade developer.
